Who I am
This site is run by Adam Smaka. If you have any question about your data, email me at hello@adamsmaka.com.
What I collect
When you sign up for One Thing Well, I store:
- your email address and, if you give it, your first name,
- your answers to the two questions (who your app is for, hours per week),
- that you agreed to get emails, and when,
- where you came from: UTM tags in the link, the referring page and the page you signed up on,
- your browser's user agent (browser and device type).
Why
- to send you the prompt and occasional emails about building apps with AI,
- to let you know when my course opens (first cohort planned for January 2027),
- to understand who the prompt is useful for, so I can make it and the course better,
- to see which videos and posts bring people here.
The legal basis is your consent, which you give with the checkbox. I don't sell your data.
Who helps me process it
- Supabase stores the signup data (database).
- Resend sends the emails.
- Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Pixel measures visits and signups from my videos and ads, and lets me show ads to people who visited. Meta sets its own cookies for this.
- Vercel hosts the site.
Some of these companies may process data outside your country, including in the United States, under their own data protection terms.
How long I keep it
As long as you're on the list. If you unsubscribe, I stop emailing you right away and delete your details within 30 days, unless you ask me to delete them sooner.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe anytime with the link in any email, or just reply "unsubscribe".
- Ask me to see, correct or delete your data by emailing hello@adamsmaka.com.
- You can block the Meta Pixel with your browser's tracking protection or an ad blocker.
- If you're in the EU/UK, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.
